The cost of setting up a dental office can be staggering. Dental build outs are notoriously high and marked up exceptionally by many builders. So the opportunity to save a few thousand dollars is one to take seriously. I have been using a nomad for 8 years and have purchased several units as my practice has grown. The price can vary slightly depending on your relationship with your dental equipment distributor; anything in the range of $6500 is a fair price. This saves $2,000-3,000 up front (compared to some wall mounted units) but when setting up a new office the savings is even greater. A wall mounted unit needs electrical, low voltage and support backing. I practice in downtown Chicago and, as such, prices on installation of these components can cost another $2000. Aside from the cost savings, the safety and quality of the unit is equal to that of its wall mounted competitors. So if you’re doing a new office build-out or even finally outfitting that vacant operatory, consider pricing out the NOMAD Pro 2. You may be pleasantly surprised.
