When deciding to implement new dental technology in my practice, my personal goal is never to be first and never to be last. Many products come and go and often do not live up to their claims or cause unpredictable outcomes. On the other hand, waiting too long to convert to a new technique or product can be detrimental to your practice and patients. I believe there is a sweet spot for deciding when to make product and technology changes.
For me, BC Sealer has firmly landed in that sweet spot. BC Sealer claims to have easy handling properties, minimal post-op sensitivity and excellent periapical healing. After solely using BC Sealer for the last several months, I am happy to report that all claims are true. Obviously, there will be many years of independent studies needed to maintain its reputation, but so far, the supported science and claims are sound. I’ve used BC Sealer very easily and safely in open apex cases and seen its efficacy in lateral and bifurcated canal systems. I highly recommend trying BC Sealer in your own practice. Don’t be the last practitioner to make the change!
