At some level, every dentist worries about physical disability, the majority of which is prohibitive or restrictive back and neck pain.
That being said, we all understand the importance of proper posture, seating and ergonomics. I’ve tried various practitioner stools over the years, all claiming to be perfect, with varying degrees of lumbar, arm and hip support. I have spared no expense for this ergonomic need and have spent upwards of $2,500 per stool, only to switch out in just a few short months.
I’m happy to report the JEDMED Micro Stool will undoubtedly be my stool of choice through the remainder of my career. I’ve religiously used this stool for the last three years and converted all my operatories (and friends) to the Micro Stool. It provides very easy one-handle adjustment of height, lumbar support and tilt. After long procedures, I have absolutely no numbness or sciatic tingling in my legs. My lower back and shoulders are totally relaxed and free of any stiffness. When needed, I can easily slide the perfectly positioned armrests radially away or toward me, allowing me to adjust perfectly to each patient. It has the ideal balance of adjustability and simplicity.
I 100% recommend this product as a must-have for any practitioner looking to have a long, healthy career.
