I like to look at the patient’s occlusion as a first step before restorative treatment. Alignment of the teeth can help with the ability to properly clean each tooth and can help with gingival recession, occlusal trauma, and overall appearance. The way teeth align is so very important to the longevity of one’s smile!
I use ClearCorrect clear aligners. The founders of ClearCorrect are based in Texas and were formerly associated with Align. I have used other companies in the past but chose to switch to ClearCorrect for several reasons. The company is focused on the general practitioner and they offer in-person education as well as online education. This makes it convenient for everyone. I find their customer support to be very responsive and I love their new pricing structure. You can now pay per aligner, per case, or pay an additional fee to have assistance with the initial setup of a case. These options help structure a fee for the patient based on the complexity of the case.
Retainers are included in the fee, if you choose the full case fee. The patient will be eligible for two new retainers every six months for five years. We use this to encourage the patient to maintain their hygiene visits. ClearCorrect’s basic lab expenses are a savings when compared to other clear aligner companies. We pass on the savings to the patient which helps us capture more cases.
Patients love to be able to come to one location for hygiene, restorative, and aligner therapy. Consider adding this additional service to your practice in the new year!
